Tunisia succeeded in establishing a modern and effective sanitary and medical system, comparable to that of the advanced countries. The efforts concentrated during these last years especially towards consolidation of the sanitary and medical basic infrastructure, the training of the skills, the intensification of the hospitals equipments and the promotion of the state-of-the-art areas of medical specialization.
