Seen the unique place of Tunisia (at the top of Africa and very close to the union European) Tunisia was classified the first one for its competitiveness in Africa, according to the report of the world economic Forum in 2000. This country holds one of the politics entrepreneurs most pro active of the African continent.
In the economic plan, Tunisia was able to cross during the first years of execution of the Ninth plan 1996-2001 of the new significant headways on the way of the stabilization of the macroeconomic frame registering encouraging results.
Indeed, thanks to the political stability which prevails in the country since the Change intervened on November 7th, 1987, in the reliable climate which reigns and at the liberation of the initiatives, Tunisia was able to carry out safe and decisive steps on the way of the opening of its economy and the insurance of the good to be social of her inhabitants.
Member country of the WTO (L’OMC), Tunisia is also the first country of the southern shore of the Mediterranean to conclude an agreement of partnership and cooperation with the European Union the main constituent of which is the institution of a free trade area.
In this prospect, Tunisia introduced an important program of reforms which got(touched) all the sectors and it to sit the bases of an economy solid, diversified, competitive and capable of adapting itself to the new international environment.
