The service sector knows a fast expansion reflecting the profound alteration of the Tunisian economy which diversifies more and more; contributing more than quite other sector to the economic growth.

The 11èm plan which covers the period 2007-2011 settled ambitious objectives to establish the economy of the knowledge and reach to the rank of the developped countries. The plan of the development rests on the acceleration of the growth rate at levels superior to 6 %.

The realization of the reserved objective of growth establishes in itself a real challenge and bases itself on a more effective contribution of all the branches of industry in particular the service sector which will know a growth about the annual average rhythm of 8,6 % at the prices constant, its part in the GDP will pass from 38, 63 % in 2007 to 52,1 % in 2011 when in the exports of services it will know an average growth of 10,2 %.
So its part in the total of the ' investments will reach an average of 53 % for the period 2007-2011.
