2010.03.01PACKTEC developed adequate expertise in packaging
A project of Tunisian-Spanish cooperation has been established between the Technical Center of Packing and packaging (PACKTEC) and the Technological Institute of the packaging and transport packaging (ITENE) and start in the coming months.
The objective of this project is to enable the PACKTEC develop technical assistance in the field of packaging and pharmaceutical packaging, in addition to the transfer of expertise developed within the ITENE in this area.
This project includes a training program for the benefit of engineers PACKTEC focused primarily on pharmaceutical packaging requirements, regulations and standards governing this sector.

Biodiversity of the marine ecosystem in Tunisia
The coastal marine environment has a place in the environmental policy of Tunisia, especially in the preservation of wildlife and marine life.
Thus, a national action plan on biodiversity has been established. The plan highlights the existence of 2386 marine animal species and 1077 plant species marine, totaling about 48% of the species diversity of Tunisia.

The Pumpkin of Kalaat El Andalous part in the conquest of foreign markets
The region Kalaat El Andalous (Governorate of Ariana) is known for production of pumpkin, known for its important nutritional value.
Growing Pumpkin adapts to the environment and geography of the region, besides the possibility of storage for long periods outdoors.
According to the newspaper "El Fallah" in its edition of February 22, the acreage devoted to this culture reached during the past season about 400 hectares, representing a total production of approximately 12 thousand tons. Specialists focus on the specifics of this culture (taste and aroma), which allow crops to sell well appreciated by exporters to markets in Italy, Algeria and Libya.
Domestic demand accounts for nearly 25% of the harvest.
It should be noted that seeding pumpkin is done during the month of April. Its production cycle is estimated at approximately 100 days.
The pumpkin is composed mainly of water (90 °%). It is also rich in vitamins A and B, protein, fat and minerals (iron and calcium).
Citrus: 9200 tonnes exported Maltese
The operations of citrus exports for the current season continues. So far, 9,200 tonnes of Maltese were exported, against 9,300 tons during the same period last year. It should be noted that for the first time, 77 tonnes of Maltese oranges were exported to France and Italy.
For other varieties, 212 tons of sweet oranges were exported, against 68 tonnes last year. For exports of bitter oranges, 90 tons were exported, against 7 tons of clementines and 80 tons of variety thomson. The French market is in first place for Tunisian exports of citrus.
